The Place
Rainmaker is a private rainforest reserve and canopy-bridge project on the mountain road between Bijagual and the coast — one of the closest primary-forest experiences to Macaw Crest. A series of suspension bridges crosses a deep gorge through the upper canopy, putting walkers at eye level with epiphytes, howler monkeys, and the nested valleys below.
The reserve protects a complete watershed from ridge to river, and its walking loop passes waterfalls, a natural pool, and a lookout over the Pacific. Because Rainmaker sits at a similar elevation to Macaw Crest, the forest here is the same forest that surrounds the community — a living preview of what grows just beyond your homesite. Guided walks run daily and can be arranged privately for residents.
