Punta Leona is a private, gated resort community on a forested peninsula between Jacó and Herradura — one of the most established gated enclaves on the Central Pacific. Residents and members enjoy access to two beaches, a large resort pool, tennis courts, a golf putting green, and several restaurants within the grounds.
Playa Mantas, inside the resort, is a calm white-sand cove ideal for swimming and paddleboarding; Playa Blanca, a short walk through the forest trail, is a longer crescent of soft sand backed by palms. The reserve around the resort protects scarlet macaw nesting sites, and it is not uncommon to see flocks crossing between the trees at dawn and dusk.
