The Esterillos are a chain of four quiet beaches south of Jacó — Esterillos Oeste, Esterillos Centro, Esterillos Este, and the surf break at Esterillos Oeste's rocky point. With no town center and no high-rises, they are the coast's escape from crowds: long, open stretches of sand backed by palms and the occasional beachfront villa.

The point break at Esterillos Oeste is a favorite of experienced surfers for its long, peeling left, while the beach breaks of Centro and Este are quieter and better for a swim or a long walk.
